Our Founding Pharmacist’s Journey to Success
Early Education
Jim Lovell was proudly born and raised in the location of Anadarko, Oklahoma. He graduated from high school in 1959 and pursued a degree in pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma. Come 1964, the aspiring professional obtained his diploma and moved to the city of El Paso, Texas.
Finding Opportunities
While Jim went to Texas in search of big career opportunities, what he had found instead was his lovely wife and future business partner Donna. The happy couple returned to Jim’s home state, where he worked for the new pharmacy Humpty in the capital city of Oklahoma. Soon after the completion of the Anadarko branch, Jim relocated back here, to his birthplace, and worked in the area for years.
Fulfilling Big Dreams
When the owners of the Humpty decided to close their doors in 1983, Jim and Donna made a big leap to purchase the store and renamed it to Lovell's Pharmacy.
A Legacy of Trustworthy Service
Following in the footsteps of his father, Clendon also became a pharmacist and joined the family business. He now manages the pharmacy with seasoned technicians Everth and Teresa, along with pharmacist Ashlee. Today, we continue serving new and returning customers, meeting friends, and building long-lasting business relationships within our tight-knit community.
Meet the Team
Everth
Everth, or Ev for short, was born sometime in the 1980s in Puebla Mexico. In 2000, they moved to Oklahoma from New Jersey. She graduated from Anadarko Public Schools in 2006 and started working for Lovell's Pharmacy on January 24, 2010. Now our trusty technician, Ev feels privileged working for a family-friendly, community-oriented pharmacy.
She resides in Anadarko, Oklahoma with her fiancé, Tommy, along with their wonderful kids Jayci, Dominick, and their newest addition, Parker.
Teresa
Teresa is also one of our technicians here at Lovell's Pharmacy. Raised locally, she attended Gracemont Public Schools and graduated in 1990. She worked in the nursing and pharmaceutical industries for over 28 years before finally joining our team in February 2010. Over the years, she has enjoyed her time working with the now-retired founding pharmacist Jim Lovell and his son, our current owner and pharmacist-in-charge Clendon Lovell, along with our fantastic relief pharmacists.
To her, being a part of a family-owned business that truly cares about its customers is such a privilege. She takes pride in knowing our members have a genuine concern for our clients’ best interests and safety.
Clendon
Clendon Lovell was born and raised in the Anadarko community. He followed his father's footsteps and pursued a career in pharmacy.
He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) College of Pharmacy in the fall of 1995 and has worked here ever since. He has two wonderful sons, Ethan and Nathan. He feels very privileged to have learned so much working with his parents, who have built a long-running business with a genuine dedication to providing quality service.
Ashlee
Ashlee Gutierrez grew up in the Carnegie and Fort Cobb area. Her passion for providing quality pharmaceutical products stems from witnessing the devastating impact of complex disease states on patients and their families. She graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the fall of 2019 and began working at Lovell's Pharmacy in May of 2020. She loves the opportunity to serve our customers in a patient and family-oriented setting.
